How do I apply the press-on nails?
Be sure to wait a good hour or two before applying the cuticle oil. As the oil can lift the press-on off the nail.
How do you measure my nails?
I measure your nails using the quarter method! Please take a picture of your 4 fingers (one hand at a time) on both hands next to a quarter. Do the same for both thumbs. Make sure your pictures are clear for me to see and taken in good lighting. You can refer to the examples below.
How do I send my nail size and inspo?
Once I have received the payment for your order, head over to @_the_gel_edit on Instagram and message me the photos of your hands next to the quarter. Along with any inspirational photos you want me to use. And finally, leave me a brief, detailed message explaining elements you like or don’t like, the size nail you want, any specific colors, and any designs or charms you want to add.
Are the press-ons reusable?
Yes! With proper care, the gel edit press-ons are reusable. Be sure to remove them from your nails gently, file off any leftover glue that may still be on the press-on, and store them safely back in the box they came in. The prep kit includes everything you need to reapply them.
How do I remove the press-ons?
What if I run out of supplies in my nail prep kit?
I sell nail prep kit refills! If you don’t need a whole new set of nails, you can order just the prep kits!
Do I exchange or return my order?
Due to the custom nature of each set, once your press-ons have shipped, all sales are final. Please double-check the sizing and inspiration you want before ordering! If you have any questions on what I can or can’t do before ordering, feel free to message me!
What if my items come damaged?
If you have received a damaged order, please take photos right away of the damage and send them to me via email or Instagram DM. Upon inspection, I will provide you with a refund for the order (minus shipping) or send you a new set right away with free shipping.
What nail designs do you offer?
You can view all current options on the nail guide page. However, if there is a specific shape, length, color, chrome, charm, etc. that you may need, please let me know at least 2 weeks in advance so I can accommodate for shipping and production of the order.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Each custom set is handmade. Depending on the influx of orders, please allow 1-7 week days for me to make your order. Standard shipping then takes 2-5 business days. If you need your order ASAP, please message me before you order to see if I can put a rush on your production and shipping. If I can, I will message you the amount for expedited shipping. Once I have received the payment for shipping, I will ship out your order ASAP.
When will you be adding new designs?
Once I feel as if I have mastered a new technique, I will update it on the nail guide page and announce it on my social media platforms. The same goes for all new colors, shapes, lengths, designs, etc.
